If You Are Considering Breast Augmentation Surgery…
Cosmetic Surgery of New York, along with a very limited number of practices across the United States, has been selected to participate in an FDA approved continuing study using a new form of silicone breast implant. Only 480 women across the country will have the opportunity to receive these investigational cohesive gel implants, an extremely small percentage considering the fact that 250,000 women had breast augmentation surgery in the United States last year alone.
Cosmetic Surgery of New York participated in the original 2001 study when approximately 940 women received the implants. According to Dr. Hillard Warm, one of the surgeons at CSNY, “We had a very positive experience using these implants and feel fortunate to be selected again for participation in the continuing study.”
Noted Dr. Robert Jacobs of CSNY, “These implants have been used in Europe for almost ten years. Our patients like the fact that there is a wider variety of dimensions, which gives them more options.”
The new implants are encased in the same type of envelope as saline and traditional silicone implants, but the implants are filled with cohesive silicone, a material with a consistency similar to gelatin.
Practicing at Cosmetic Surgery of New York for over twenty years are the highly qualified and respected Drs. Jacobs, Warm and Misholy. Drs. Jacobs and Warm will be participating in the national study over the next several months. Drs. Jacobs and Warm are both Diplomates of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Aesthetic Society. Additionally, Dr. Robert Jacobs is Chief of Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery at Saint Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson and Dr. Hillard Warm is Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mather Memorial Hospital, also in Port Jefferson.
The doctors at CSNY also perform breast augmentation surgery using FDA approved saline filled implants in either round or teardrop shape. Other procedures include breast lifts, liposuction, tummy tucks, face and eyelid surgery and laser resurfacing.
CSNY is located at 4616 Nesconset Highway in Port Jefferson Station. Their distinctive building is equipped with a fully accredited operating room, state of the art computer imaging facilities and private exam and consultation rooms. Persons interested in more information about the breast implant study should call 631-473-7070 for a free consultation. The study will include women seeking breast augmentation for the first time as well as women seeking to replace traditional implants. Though participation in the study is not free, the surgery is offered at a special promotional price and women participating in the study will be paid an allowance for medical follow-up visits for 10 years following the procedure.
